pH Problems...
Armani went to visit Dr H..we did a urinalysis and his pH came back 8.5. Hopefully this is a one time thing that can be corrected with methio form tabs and antibiotics. There is a possibility this will be a long term condition controlled with diet and methio form tabs.

His supplement is in the mail and we are looking into a home cooked or raw diet to assist with this problem.

All in all Armani is in good spirits as you can see as he plays at Dr H's with his foster brother Grant.

Bad News
Armani seems to be doing great and is having a blast in foster care; however, he seems to have some issues with his pottying. He is on 2 weeks worth of Keflex to clear up any infection. If there is no improvement, he will have his urine and kidneys tested to see what is going on.

Much overdue Update on Armani
Armani went to the vet July 1st. He weighed in at 41.5 lbs. Dr H and his staff were all stunned at his progress. The week leading up to his vet visit he gained enough strength to walk up and down the stairs instead of pulling himself up/down. He also found a bone in the yard and pranced around the deck with it-head held high. But I have to say I was proudest when Armani trotted after Greg when he went to get his dinner. He ran for the first time on July 1st as he ran from the car to the front door of Price Creek Animal Hospital as he made quite a few friends there.

Dr H gave Armani his shots and more importantly the go ahead to play, box, and be a normal boxer! And he is having a blast doing just that. He gets along with all the dogs here and enjoys playing with all of them. He started with just talking to them-they taught him real quick how to box, wrestle, and play chase!

Armani will go back in this week to get weighed and be checked for heartworms. Hopefully, he will be heart worm negative so he can continue to develop his muscle mass back.

Armani is home!!!
We just got home from Dr H's with Armani. He was so excited to see us! We will update more after we get him situated!
Armani is coming home
Armani is up to 29.5 lbs and his red blood ct is up from 16% to 25%. He needs to be above 37% but this is great progress for just under a week. As long as everything goes well tomorrow, he will be coming home to his foster home!!!

He will be eating pre
Update from Dr H
Dr H called this morning to give me an update on Armani. It couldnt have been better news... Armani is gaining his strength and has a ridiculously silly puppy bark. He is barking at the staff for food and snuggles. They said he is just as sweet and loving as can be.

He is eating every 2 hrs but this am they fed him kibble EN mixed with canned and he ate it all without any trouble. He was even full that he curled up and took a nap instead of barking for more! This sweet boy is making progress daily and is well on his way to being spoiled! :D

Oh, and his current weight is now 26 lbs.
